1. Who we are

RiAct Sea Experiences ("we", "us") operates this website and provides private boat charters on the Athens Riviera. We are the data controller for the personal data described here.

2. What data we collect

Booking requests: your name, email address, mobile number, requested date, number of guests, selected extras and any notes you add.

Assistant chat: the messages you type into our website assistant, so it can answer your question.

Technical data: your browser sends an IP address and basic device information to our hosting provider as part of normal web traffic and security logging.

We do not knowingly collect data from children and we do not collect special categories of personal data.

3. Why we use it and on what legal basis

To answer your booking request and to arrange the charter — legal basis: steps taken at your request prior to entering a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).

To reply to enquiries and operate the website assistant — legal basis: our legitimate interest in responding to potential customers (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

Optional analytics cookies — legal basis: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), which you can withdraw at any time.

To keep records required by Greek tax and maritime law — legal basis: legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR).

4. Who receives your data

Booking requests are sent by email to our sales inbox, hosted by Google (Google Workspace / Gmail).

The website is hosted and delivered by our hosting provider. Messages sent to the website assistant are processed by our AI provider solely to generate a reply; they are not used to train models.

We never sell your personal data and we do not share it for advertising purposes.

Where a provider processes data outside the European Economic Area, transfers rely on the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.

5. How long we keep it

Booking enquiries: up to 24 months after the last contact, unless a booking is made.

Completed bookings and related invoices: as long as required by Greek accounting and tax law.

Assistant conversations: kept only in your browser for the current visit and not stored on our servers.

Cookie consent choice: stored in your browser until you clear it or change your preference.

6. Cookies

Strictly necessary storage: we store your language choice and your cookie consent decision in your browser's local storage so the site works as you expect. These require no consent.

Analytics cookies: only set if you press "Accept all". They help us understand which pages and experiences visitors are interested in.

Marketing cookies: we do not use them.

You can accept, reject or change your choice at any time using the button below, or by clearing your browser storage.

7. Your rights under the GDPR

You have the right to access your data, to have it corrected or erased, to restrict or object to processing, to data portability, and to withdraw consent at any time without affecting prior processing.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Hellenic Data Protection Authority (www.dpa.gr), Kifissias 1-3, 11523 Athens, Greece.

8. Security

The website is served over HTTPS and access to booking enquiries is limited to the members of our team who need it to arrange your charter.

We may update this policy as our services change. The date at the top of this page always shows the current version.
